Hello and Happy Summer to all our loyal Kickstarter supporters!
As you are all aware, we have been delayed in our delivery of the Next Gen Binding of which you all so generously contributed. Because of the difference between what our campaign produced and how much new molds, engineering cost, testing materials and ultimately the high cost of production including the impending tariffs, we ran into some monetary hurdles and are still working out the details of the delivery date. We are all hoping for the beginning of this upcoming 2019 season, but we will keep you updated as to the progress of delivery. Please know we have every intention of getting the bindings produced and to market as soon as we possibly can.

Hello and Happy New Year,
We hope everyone had a great holiday season and the New Year is off to a great start. We wanted to bring everyone up to speed to insure full transparency on how things are going with our Next Gen Bindings production. We know many of you are frustrated regarding the delays we’ve encountered with this project, but believe me, we here at LAUNCH know exactly how you feel! Because of the unexpected delays, this is our first season not having bindings on the market. Our previous generation bindings are sold out and we were really anticipating the next generation that all of you so graciously backed to already be available by now.
With the help of 3D printing to produce prototypes to assure we were producing the best binding possible, we realized a few small mechanics of the design just wasn’t up to our standards. So before going to final production and assembly, we decided to adjust the positioning of the straps from the top to underneath the rail on the side rails that fold down for easy entry. We discovered that during testing this was an issue functionally as it could increase the potential of losing straps.
Needless to say, we are diligently working on this issue as we speak. We will be back at the factory in mid- February to run a small batch of bindings to send out to our team riders and a few OG’s from the industry to put our bindings through even more rigorous on snow testing. As we mentioned in previous posts and updates, we have a very prominent engineer from the industry to aid in our project. He has been involved in manufacturing and designing more than 25% of bindings on the market. So, we know we are in good hands and we are extremely excited about him being part of our team.
We will be offering extra product upon delivery of our bindings to extend our gratitude to you all for being so faithful and so supportive throughout the delays. We are saddened that we have had some who haven’t been as willing to stick with us, and sincerely hope to regain their trust and patronage in the future.
We will follow up with a new timeline once we are back in the factory. We pride ourselves on making quality, premium performance products because we know you all deserve the best gear we can possibly produce!

Happy Independence Day from Launch!

Happy Summer and Happy July 4th to our loyal Launch supporters! I know it’s difficult to think about snowboarding when it’s this hot outside, but we here at Launch always have our thoughts on snow!
We are pleased to say we have completed all final adjustments to our molds and are in line at the factory for production. Our biggest changes were the high-back and the ratchets. We have removed a few of the open windows in the high-back to make it stronger and more durable, while maintaining responsiveness while riding on snow. Another big change was we designed our own exclusive ratchets which works in conjunction with the way our open and close system bindings operate.
We are super excited about the progress and, as promised, we are confident that our Next Gen Bindings will be the most awesome binding you’ll ever own! Rest assured we are still on time to deliver this Fall and don’t forget to be on the lookout soon for an exclusive Kickstarter supporter sneak peek.
